When we arrived back to the San Jose, California airport, we had to use dog booties for Bud because the asphalt was very warm to the touch. I remember one day while staying in Southern California that I had to buy booties for jetta while shopping in the heat of the day. It never gets that hot on the Central Coast. Dogs that are not used to hot sidewalks have more tender pads that dogs that live in the heat all the time. Good to keep in mind when planning a trip with your best friend.
