Don't Tell Buddy How Old He Is

This day Buddy did not want to stop playing outside even he had to have been tired. He barked and barked so loud the whole neighors hear a block away at the beach. Two minutes later Bud was sleeping like an Angel. I am so blessed for each day with him.

OId Dog Loves His Ball

Ever day now Bud wants to play in our yard. He plays and loves to play until he decides he has had enough fun and then he goes in. Today he brought his dirty ball in the clean house. He does't care about clean or dirty just enjoys the play time. ( Note he is sleeping on Jetta old cover. ) Thank God for Dogs.

My Sweet Valentine Buddy

Ever day my Valentine gives me the best sloppy wet kisses every morning when i get on the floor with him for many body rubs. He goes nuts with joy. It is my pleasure to make him happy. Last week i notice his toe nails started getting a bit long because i heard a click, click on the street. Then he did not seem happy on walks. This morning we took him to local groomer at Un Leashed Liza. Has a nail clinic sat from 9 -10 am. She trimed his toes nail and i know he is much happier. When a dog grows old because of neurological reasons they start wakling on side of their feet in the rear end. It common but i hate it! But Bud is in great shape and it's a part of life --getting older......bummer. Bud is so white that you can't get his age by gray fur. Jetta my black Lab was so white at 11 you could she was old. Bud is my special boy. Thank God, for allowing me to love

Old Bud Back At The Beach

Bud is aging fast, he is still strong willed and a little pampered, but that's his nature. The local beach stair has been hard for him to climb two flights of stair and walk selveral blocks to the beach acces on my scooter. Today we got a car ride to the beach by the pier where he had a ramp to use. He played with his big sticks and barked with exictment, his bark is so loud it starling. He played and when he came back to the car he was tired, but happy. Each day i sob over his aging process. I sit on our beach stairs while is home sleeping and sob, and sob remnbering his life on the beach. Dogs don't mind getting old WE do! I can't be sad and cry around him.Dogs live in the monent. All Bud is thinking About now is WHEN IS DINNER ? I tell him soon sweet love, soon.

Helping My Sweet Old Bud

The best to help old dogs is to know what to exepect from them age your young pup someone becomes old before you know it!! lab are stoic that means they would stop trying until you stop them. They have no common sence. I feel that way some days when i push my body to unrealist limits. I constally feel that I haven't done enough exerce or work our whatever I think I should be able to do. One warm day last year I let Bud do too much and I watched effort it took him to walk home the selveral blooks home. I thought his was going to fall............... Freaked me out big time. ! that will never happen again. The very best thing I know for old dogs or humans is the water. Bud is the most precious gift God gave me. He is so worth the money I pay at Splash to watch the fun Bud has in the water. His rear legs will keep strenght as long as possible. When Bud comes home he acts like a pup again. What fun to watch. My caregiver Tawyna does this on her own time. Bud pays her back by rubbing his wet head on her pants and gives his specail sweet wet sloppy kisses that he unsually saves for me. We are gratful to her for the gift of time and I drive to Splash.

Bud Starts The New Year In The Water ....where Lab are at home

I do my best for my boy. Swimning is the best for keeping strong in the rear legs. I see a huge differce in is movment after he swims. He naps and when he wakes up he is full of energy.

Party Time Buddy For The New Year

Dogs love to party! They party everday day. Any reason to party is good for dogs. The party when they are taking a walk........look at their smiles. And the beach is the unlimate party. Oh my God look at them dig, and sniff and when the find stinky stuff, they roll. Jetta was a roller on my Lord the stinky dog order. Thank God Bud never learned that..........Dog don't make New Year resolutions for the furture.I don't make then either...... just feel bad when you don't keep your promise to yourself.
